Set in 2021 Afghanistan, just before the Taliban reclaimed power, this story follows Naru—the sole female cameraperson at Kabul’s largest television station. After walking out on her chronically unfaithful husband, she’s fighting to hold onto custody of her three-year-old son. Convinced that there isn’t a single decent man left in her country, Naru is blindsided when Qodrat, the top journalist at Kabul TV, offers her a career-changing break. As the two race across the city documenting its final days of freedom, an unexpected chemistry ignites—and Naru begins to wonder if she might have been wrong all along.
