Sanding Dreams (2026)

Nineteen-year-old Pasha is a student in St. Petersburg with a dream of building rockets for space. His roots are in the remote village of Shoyna, where his parents and younger brother still live. When a telegram delivers the news of his father’s death, he drops everything to return and support his family. Just as an international grant comes through for him, a rocket launched from the cosmodrome crashes onto their home, injuring his mother. Determined to save her, Pasha sets out on an extraordinary mission: moving their entire house to higher ground, where the sand disappears and the sea opens up on the horizon.
