September 1940. Driven by an unshakable belief in his own destiny, he is determined to carve out a role within the fledgling government. His writings reveal a blend of patriotic fervor and an engineer’s cold logic: efficiency above all. Claiming to serve France in its hour of defeat, Henri adapts with growing mastery to the machinery of the new order, doing whatever it takes to stay indispensable. Yet beneath his devotion lies a more desperate mission—to outrun his own personal collapse.
