Remake (2026)
After losing his son, autobiographical filmmaker McElwee reexamines his life’s body of work, ultimately returning to his vast collection of home movies. How much did his camera shape their bond while Adrian was still alive? And now, in his absence, how much does that lens define the memory of their relationship? Meanwhile, a stumbling attempt to adapt McElwee’s debut feature, *Sherman’s March*, into a fictional film offers him a fresh vantage point for reflecting on the art of cinema and the inevitability of death.
