In a future South Korea shattered by economic collapse and spiraling into lawlessness, a harsh new regime seizes power and enacts the "Permanent Exile Law"—a brutal tool for national control. Under this decree, death row prisoners are banished for life to the Purgatory, a prison built inside abandoned nuclear power plants. The government grants the facility a degree of self-rule, but soon the Purgatory evolves into a lawless fortress beyond any official reach, leaving authorities scrambling for a solution. Enter Yu-seong, a former police officer turned condemned inmate after avenging his wife and daughter. The Director of National Intelligence offers him a dangerous deal: eliminate the Purgatory’s reigning kingpin in exchange for a possible pardon.
