Tired of scraping by in a cramped Seoul semi-basement, Hye-ja is laser-focused on one goal: upgrading to a proper studio apartment. Her days are spent at an insurance call center, where her sharp tongue and thick regional accent keep clashing with corporate polish, making every shift a battle. Desperate to fund her big move, she makes the trip down to Busan to hit up her mother for a loan. But when she gets there, no amount of pounding on the door brings her mom out—leaving Hye-ja stuck on the threshold, wondering what’s really behind that silence.
