A gripping feature film unfolds over a single, high-stakes day in the life of legendary Slovak figure skater Ondrej Nepela. This is an intimate, raw portrait of a young man who, after years of faithfully performing for an oppressive regime, desperately wants to escape the gilded prison of Czechoslovakia and taste true freedom. He yearns to live and love openly, haunted by the fear that his hidden sexuality could brand him an outcast and shatter the career he sacrificed everything to build. But as he stands at his most vulnerable, the totalitarian state tightens its grip, unleashing its most ruthless tactics to force him into a brutal choice: conform or be destroyed.
