This Bloody Country (2026)

This Bloody Country is an American Western drama set in 1869, following a Mormon family as they leave Salt Lake City on a difficult journey to establish a new church outpost. When their journey brings them into conflict with dangerous outlaws, the family is forced to prepare for a confrontation in unforgiving frontier territory.

Written and directed by Craig Packard, the film combines survival drama, historical frontier themes and slow-burn suspense. Martin Dingle Wall stars as Ned Campbell, with Maggie Gwin, Larry Cedar, Jacob Ward and Rainey Qualley also featured in the principal cast. The story places particular emphasis on family, faith, morality and the difficult choices demanded by survival.

The film was released in the United States on October 17, 2025, rather than 2026, and is therefore not an unreleased 2026 film. Critical reception has been limited but generally favorable among the small number of published reviews, with praise directed toward its cinematography, performances and classic Western atmosphere.
