Black Water (2026)

Deep within the untamed wilderness of the Congo Basin, *Black Water* offers a moving look at human endurance and the fight to survive. This short film immerses viewers in the daily reality of a community living beside Lake Mai Ndombe—known as the “Lake of Black Water”—in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Once a thriving source of life, the lake now stands on the edge of ruin. Its fish stocks, long the backbone of local existence, have steadily vanished, placing an age-old way of life under threat.
