Tomás, a young man haunted by his father's past, watches helplessly as the same broken promises and deceptions are recycled with his younger brother Octavio. When their father tries to make amends for missing Octavio's birthday with a fishing trip, he asks Tomás to drive him partway. What starts as a short favor spirals into an eye-opening road trip, forcing both brothers to accept that the version of their father they once knew is gone forever—and forcing Tomás to confront a painful truth: he has long been the real father figure in Octavio's life.
