Nora chased her dream of becoming a comedy writer in New York City, but somewhere along the way, teaching took over—a job she either quit or got fired from (the details are messy). Before she can map out her next move, she’s back home in Miami–Kendall, dressed as a dancing grape, performing at kids’ birthday parties alongside her Abuela and Tio. This gig quickly morphs into Nora’s worst anxiety-fueled nightmare: every high school rival, crush, and unforgettable classmate is there, watching her flop. But maybe she’s not flopping at all. Maybe she’s simply evolving—shedding one version of herself for a stronger one. And perhaps those octogenarian and nonagenarian coworkers have more wisdom to offer than she ever imagined.
