Deep in the frozen terrain of Wrangel Island, a team of excavators unearths a living baby mammoth, slumbering inside a man-made cryogenic chamber. The expedition’s fanatical leader becomes consumed by obsession, hiding the discovery from the world and falsely claiming the creature is the product of his own cloning experiments. He plans to dissect the mammoth for research and replication material. But a group of schoolchildren stumbles upon the truth, discovering the baby mammoth possesses intelligence and emotion. Racing against time, they help the gentle giant escape and guide it back to Wrangel Island, determined to solve the ancient riddle of its existence.
