Nyota (2026)

In the war-torn highlands of Kivu, far from the village they never knew, two strangers discover they share the same blood. Chantale and Paulin—brother and sister, both born from an act of violence—meet for the first time inside an orphanage. United by a burning need to uncover where they come from, they embark on a journey to find their mother and piece together the fragments of their identity. Around them, a circle of other young survivors, each bearing the invisible scars of eastern Congo’s endless conflict, opens up about loss, displacement, and the longing for home. Under the watchful, though often absent, eye of Sister Clothilde—who ventures out on distant missions—the children learn to lean on one another.
