This documentary trails Peeter Laurits, a photographer and artist who acts as a modern-day shaman and trickster, hovering on the edge of alternate realities. He delivers dispatches from the crossroads of art, science, myth, mysticism, and ecology, building expressways that stretch from the realm of moss and bark beetles all the way to the cosmos. The action unfolds in Kütiorg, a sacred forest valley that serves as both his studio and a strangely displaced dreamscape, where memory, the present, and fantasy bleed together. This valley is the film’s central symbol: a small, unassuming place whose hidden paths and dark, twisting corridors reveal fresh ways to see a world in constant decay, pulling both the audience and the artist ever deeper into its mysteries.
