Deep in the Yucatán jungle, a boy named Jacob witnesses an entire village disappear during a local festival—including his friend Melanie, who suddenly perceives herself as an adult. Armed with only his loyal rabbit and horse, he ventures into the wild. But within the dense canopy, Jacob not only loses track of Melanie—he also loses a crucial piece of who he is.
