At the legendary Artek International Children’s Center, summer has always meant endless sunshine and joyful noise—but this season is different. As a fanatical astronomy professor scours the nearby landscape for a fallen meteorite, desperate for long-overdue recognition, strange and unsettling events begin unfolding within the camp. One by one, the most energetic kids turn into hollow “shadows,” losing all interest in games, friends, and life itself as a chilling apathy takes hold. Then a group of teenagers stumbles upon the shocking truth: aliens are hiding inside the camp, quietly siphoning away the children’s happiness and their most cherished memories.
