A young Ukrainian refugee named Ira Melnichenko, living in Switzerland with her brother, crafts a doll that mirrors her own likeness. Through this handmade figure, she retraces the unraveling of her family—shattered by the loss of her father, a 2D animator in Kyiv, consumed by alcoholism and neglect. In her gaze, that of a child thrust too soon into adulthood, we glimpse both gentle sorrow and quiet confusion as she confronts a world that has disappeared.
