Rebirth (2026)
棲身的土壤
Through the lens of Malaysia’s iconic red hibiscus—its national flower—and foreign plants found in Taiwan, this collage animation tells the story of Malaysian Chinese navigating life on the island. Caught between two worlds and shaped by borrowed languages, they seek to define who they are and where they truly belong. By channeling personal journeys through plant life, the film aims to dissolve the rigid lines separating self, nation, and identity.
