Eighty students from Serbia pedaled 1,400 kilometers from Novi Sad to the heart of Europe—a journey they named the ride for justice. Their homeland had been fractured by a socio-political crisis for five months, ignited by the tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station. Over 12 days, they cycled through 6 European countries and 15 major cities. Across squares from one nation to the next, they were met with festive welcomes, tears, songs, and laughter. The Serbian diaspora and city leaders alike greeted them along the route. Their destination: Strasbourg. Their message: "We are not riding to Europe to escape Serbia. We are riding to bring it back." They came to be heard by Europe and the world.
