Tatjana carries a quiet loneliness. Raised in Croatia, she wandered through Europe before planting roots in Amsterdam. Fifteen years later, her teenage son hides his friends from her, ashamed of her heavy Slavic accent and awkward Dutch mannerisms. Yet the deeper ache runs beyond embarrassment—Tatjana feels like an outsider no matter where she is. Desperate to finally fit in, she travels across Europe, knocking on doors of relatives and friends, seeking the secret to belonging. Along the way, she stumbles through cultural missteps and everyday prejudice, until an unsettling family truth rises from the shadows.
