Thick & Sweet 甜腻腻 (2026)
A displaced people, the taste of a promised land simmered in a sticky-sweet sauce, and a restaurant stripped of its patrons—a burden too heavy for any one person to bear. It’s far simpler to tear down a shuttered eatery than to hold onto what it meant. Using paper cutouts, staged scenes, archival clips, and echoes of past cinema, this film pieces together a fractured mosaic of memory—both private and shared—while examining how the immigrant story is seasoned by the relentless Americanization of food.
