Following his father’s death, Roma loses faith in kindness, turning arrogant and defiant. Teaming up with a shy middle schooler named Vitya, they journey to a reclusive old man’s home and discover enchanted books whose characters spring to life. Accidentally, the boys unleash a wicked sorcerer. To rescue his friend and restore order, Roma must achieve the unthinkable: rediscover belief in himself.
