Did you know? To capture the raw, sun-bleached feel of the Barcelona streets, the filmmakers used natural light almost exclusively, and many of the skateboarding sequences were shot guerrilla-style with a real crew of local skaters to preserve the authenticity of the teenagers' first taste of freedom.
Why Watch: For anyone who’s ever chased a fleeting summer of freedom, *Rewind Barcelona* is a raw, nostalgic punch to the gut—capturing the electric chaos of teenage skateboarding in Barcelona and the aching distance of adult hindsight. It’s less a travelogue and more a love letter to those fragile, infinite-feeling days when all that mattered was the next trick and a warm can of Lemon Damm. Watch it if you want a beautifully fragmented, emotional ride that proves the memories we burn brightest are the hardest to piece back together.
Comedy Drama

Four teenage skateboarders—Hascoët, Émile, Léo, and Paul—cram into Léo’s mom’s car and blast off to Barcelona, the holy ground of skate culture, for their first taste of freedom on the brink of adulthood. They survive on squished vacuum-packed tortillas, sip warm Lemon Damm cans, and own the concrete at MACBA from dawn till dusk. The beach is a forgotten afterthought; the Sagrada Família is just a blur they zoom past. Nothing matters but shredding, weaving through the city’s pulse, and blazing through those fragile, endless first days of being untethered. A decade later, they try to stitch those moments back together through scattered phone calls. The memories linger, but the tone has changed. What once felt limitless now returns in broken, distant flashes.
