A local man named Chen Gouzi stumbles upon a mysterious bride and offers her shelter. Not long after, he rises to sudden wealth—only to meet a horrifying, unexplained death. As more villagers fall under strange circumstances, fear grips the settlement. Veteran hunter Ma Sanye steps forward, guiding the townsfolk through a labyrinth of ghostly whispers and human deceit.
