Back in 2019, the label "incelcore" emerged to describe a cluster of DIY musicians whose tracks zeroed in on loneliness, disconnection, and a simmering resentment toward key elements of contemporary life. As the pandemic took hold in 2020, this underground movement exploded in size, and by 2021, it hosted its debut live gathering—a festival ironically dubbed "virginfest."
