In the Far-Far-Away Kingdom, everyone is obsessed with the Three Heroes. Their epic showdowns play out like rock concerts—packed with screaming fans, corner-store merchandise, and kids dreaming of becoming just like their idols. Enter forty-year-old Emelya: a clumsy, simple-minded guy who also happens to be president of the official Three Heroes fan club. At the royal banquet, his bumbling attempt to get close to his heroes accidentally blows the cover of the bogatyrs’ secret mission to capture Koschey Bedrosovich. The villain vanishes—along with the tsar’s daughter. Suddenly, Emelya is public enemy number one. The people hate him. The tsar hates him. Even his own fan club turns its back.
