On a desolate stretch of road near Calais, Géraldine—a junior film production assistant—closes off the area for a shoot. Traffic is sparse, save for Amar, a Syrian refugee. Weighed down by the barrier she holds and the relentless crackle of her walkie-talkie, Géraldine struggles to do her job while Amar watches with quiet curiosity and a hint of amusement. What begins as a fleeting roadside meeting slowly weaves together the fates of two solitary lives.
