The acting chairman of the Kyowakai, Baba (Akihiko Kuwata), falls victim to a brutal attack. Though Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya) and Tamura (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) race to the scene, their assailant slips away into the shadows. Suspicion quickly turns toward Hirakawa (Hitomi Matsuda), whose history with Baba was deeply strained—both the Keihin Alliance and Marugami-kai point fingers in her direction. But a key witness, Reiko (Reira Arai), provides a description of the attacker that leads Himuro to a prime suspect. Ordering Reiko to keep her mouth shut and steering clear of law enforcement, the Kyowakai launches its own covert hunt. With Baba clinging to life and investigators as well as syndicate higher-ups tightening the noose around Hirakawa, a silent fire of vengeance begins to smolder within Himuro.
