A Traveller Family' traces four generations of the Collins clan, beginning with Big James Collins, one of Ireland’s final Traveller tinsmiths, and moving through actor-activist duo Michael and Catherine Collins, down to 14-year-old Catherine and 16-year-old Dan—their great-grandniece and great-grandnephew—and finally 20-year-old Johnny Collins, the first in his extended family to pursue a third-level degree. Through this single family’s journey, the documentary captures shifting eras, the evolving sense of Traveller identity, and the enduring, transformative force of creativity passed through the ages.
