Wheels of Forgotten Dreams (2026)
Across America’s sprawling highway network, 4 million trucks move 10.5 billion tons of cargo each year. Many of the people behind the wheel are immigrants—some documented, some not. Spending years confined to their cabs, they have little chance to truly integrate into American life, often staying within the borders of their own ethnic communities. But when you picture a trucker burning rubber across endless asphalt, our three main characters defy that stereotype. In the prime of their lives, an actress, a painter, and an engineer walked away from everything to live on the road, chasing the ever-elusive American dream from the driver’s seat.
