More About This Film
Les Yeux Grands Ouverts is a five-minute 2026 French animated short directed by Laura Passalacqua. During a very hot summer, 15-year-old Emma is bored at her grandparents' home until she becomes fascinated by a mysterious young man she secretly watches near a pond.
The short captures adolescent curiosity and the intensity of a first romantic fantasy through animation. Thibault Belouis composed the original music, while the film was selected for the 35th edition of Côté Court in Seine-Saint-Denis and Pantin.
