Pet Shop is a haunting meditation on remorse and pain, weaving together the image of a caged dog in a store window with a voice that could belong to God or the Devil. Through this narration, it revisits conversations where a person confronts the divine, accusing Him of ruining their existence. The accusation springs from a possible sin—perhaps a murder, or the act of falling in love with someone of the same gender.
