Odzyskany is a Polish drama about Janek, a young man forced into adulthood by difficult family circumstances. Abandoned by his alcoholic father, he cares for his seriously ill mother and makes increasingly risky decisions in an attempt to secure the money needed for her treatment and their survival.
The film centers on family responsibility, forgiveness, addiction, and the possibility of rebuilding a broken relationship. Its deliberately personal approach gives the story a grounded emotional quality, focusing on ordinary people facing painful choices rather than relying on spectacle.
As of its initial release, the film has primarily been associated with theatrical exhibition, with digital availability developing later.
