Thirty years after the brutal campaign of systematic sexual violence during the Bosnian War, a group of women born from those atrocities are finally breaking their silence. In the early 1990s, Bosniak women were forcibly detained in horrific detention centers operated by Republic of Srpska forces, where many faced unimaginable trauma. While a number of these survivors chose to terminate their pregnancies, others carried their children to term. Today, three of these now-adult offspring step forward to confront their painful heritage, openly sharing the truth about their origins and challenging the deep-seated stigma that continues to shadow their lives in their communities.
