A single-evening stage spectacle, reimagined for television from Marguerite Yourcenar’s classic letter-driven novel, unfolds within the breathtaking Canopo of Villa Adriana in Tivoli. Helmed by Alessandro Preziosi—who also takes the lead role alongside Elisa Di Eusanio—this production fuses dramatic performance, live orchestration, and cutting-edge visual art, featuring installations by Alfredo Pirri. The soundscape is crafted by composer Giacomo Vezzani, with spontaneous on-stage contributions from saxophonist Stefano Di Battista and violinist Giovanni Andrea Zanon.
