Masters of the Universe (2026)

Masters of the Universe is a 2026 live-action action-adventure fantasy film directed by Travis Knight. The story follows Prince Adam, who was separated from his home world of Eternia and the mystical Sword of Power. After finding the sword years later, Adam returns to Eternia and must embrace his destiny as He-Man while confronting the forces of Skeletor.

The film combines fantasy, science-fiction, superhero spectacle, and large-scale adventure while drawing on the visual mythology of the classic Masters of the Universe franchise. Nicholas Galitzine stars as Adam/He-Man, with Jared Leto as Skeletor, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, and Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress.

Produced by Mattel Studios and Escape Artists and distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, the film represents a new live-action interpretation of the franchise originally introduced through Mattel toys in 1982. It was released theatrically in the United States on June 5, 2026, with a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.
