A Yang Pingdao Film (2026)

In the midst of southern China’s typhoon season, middle-aged filmmaker Yang Pingdao grows suspicious that his wife is being unfaithful. Enlisting the help of a young female intern, he sets out to tail her and gather proof. But in a twist of irony, he finds himself developing unexpected feelings for the intern. As their pursuit unfolds, the intern remains uncertain of the true nature of events. Perhaps the entire scenario is merely a staged production for "A Yang Pingdao Film"—and unbeknownst to her, she may have been written into the script from the very beginning.
