On a crisp winter afternoon, António and Jota return from the frontlines with their comrades, searching for an ancient Roman bathhouse that has resurfaced after decades submerged beneath a reservoir. As they trudge through the marshlands, their laughter and banter echo tales of past tactical triumphs. Drawn by curiosity, a diverse crowd of locals—young and old—gathers to explore the newly revealed ruins, turning the site into an impromptu social gathering. Yet, beneath the surface of these mysterious waters lies an unsettling power: the baths seem to stir something deep within the men, unlocking a boldness they never knew they had. As daylight fades into dusk, the atmosphere shifts, and the soldiers begin to bare their souls—unspoken confessions and hidden anxieties about losing their closest friend emerge, blurring the line between courage and vulnerability.
